Our Story

Premium Performance. Designed for Real Homes.

At Regency Fireplace Products, we build premium hearth products designed for everyday living.

Our philosophy is simple: refined performance, dependable engineering, and thoughtful design, without excess. If luxury brands represent exclusivity and entry-level brands represent basic utility, Regency occupies the space in between. We deliver elevated design, advanced technology, and long-term reliability at a price point that makes sense for real homeowners.

We manufacture a full line of gas, wood, pellet, and electric fireplaces, inserts, stoves, and outdoor living products. Across our Regency, Hampton, and City Series collections, our products are designed to suit a wide range of architectural styles, from traditional craftsmanship to modern linear design.

Every fireplace we produce is engineered for:

  • High efficiency and optimized heat output
  • Clean combustion and emissions compliance
  • Installation flexibility
  • Long-term durability
  • Timeless aesthetic appeal

Our goal is not to create products that are flashy for a moment, but fireplaces that perform beautifully and reliably for decades providing warmth, comfort, and ambiance at the heart of the home. At Regency its more than a fireplace.

Who are We?

Founded in 1979 just outside Vancouver, Canada, Regency Fireplace Products has grown into one of the world’s leading designers, manufacturers, and marketers of hearth products.

Today, with more than 400 employees and over 2,000 retail partners, Regency supplies premium fireplace products across North America, Europe, Japan, China, and Australia. What began as a regional manufacturer has evolved into a global brand built on long-term relationships, disciplined manufacturing, and continuous innovation.

We are committed to four core principles: Service, Quality, Reliability, and Innovation. Every product we design reflects those values, delivering comfort, efficiency, and enduring performance. Our confidence is backed by industry-leading warranties and a reputation built over more than four decades.

Regency is proud to be part of the NIBE Group, a global organization focused on energy efficiency and climate-conscious solutions. Within NIBE’s three business areas - Climate Solutions, Element, and Stoves. Regency plays a key role as one of North America’s largest hearth manufacturers. Together, we contribute to improved energy utilization and a lower environmental footprint worldwide.

How do We Accomplish our Goals?

From the beginning, our vision has been clear: create the finest fireplace products in the world.

To support growing global demand, our manufacturing facilities — spanning more than 240,000 square feet — are continuously upgraded with advanced equipment, precision tooling, and robotic technologies. Investment in automation and manufacturing excellence ensures consistent quality while maintaining the flexibility to respond to changing markets.

Regency operates under internationally recognized management systems, including:

  • ISO 9001:2015 – Quality Management
  • ISO 14001:2015 – Environmental Management

These certifications reinforce our commitment to disciplined processes, measurable performance standards, and continuous improvement across the organization.

Regency Fireplaces Manufacturing

The EXCITE Program

Inspired by Lean Manufacturing principles, Regency developed its own continuous improvement program: EXCITE - Exercising Continuous Improvement Towards Excellence.

EXCITE drives operational discipline throughout the company by:

  • Streamlining production workflows
  • Reducing waste and inefficiencies
  • Enhancing quality control
  • Empowering employees to improve processes

Every fireplace is inspected before shipment. Quality is not a department, it is embedded at every stage of production.

RAPID Product Development

Innovation at Regency is disciplined.

Our RAPID Development Process was created to streamline product development while carefully balancing four critical priorities: safety, speed to market, quality, and manufacturability.

Bringing a hearth product to market is complex. It requires engineering precision, emissions compliance, safety certification, supply chain coordination, and production readiness, all without compromising performance or reliability. RAPID provides the structured framework that aligns these moving parts from concept through launch.

Through cross-functional collaboration between engineering, manufacturing, operations, and sales, RAPID ensures that every new product:

  • Meets or exceeds safety and regulatory standards
  • Is designed for efficient, scalable manufacturing
  • Achieves targeted performance and emissions benchmarks
  • Maintains Regency’s quality expectations
  • Reaches market at the right time

Rather than rushing innovation, RAPID removes inefficiencies. It reduces rework, shortens development cycles, and ensures decisions are made with full visibility into long-term production and service implications.

How we Design our Products

Innovation is central to who we are.

Our in-house team of more than 30 designers and engineers utilizes advanced 3D CAD systems, certified testing laboratories, and modern prototyping technologies to develop products that meet evolving customer expectations and regulatory requirements.

We design with three priorities in mind:

  • Performance - maximizing heat output and combustion efficiency
  • Aesthetics - clean lines and design versatility for modern interiors
  • Compliance - meeting or exceeding emissions and safety standards in every market we serve

Our ability to respond quickly to regulatory changes ensures our retailers and homeowners remain confident in their investment for years to come.
